Grand Guided E-Bike Tour
From Rome to the Castelli Romani
An e-bike journey from Rome to the Castelli Romani
along the Regina Viarum
The guided e-bike tour starts in the heart of Rome, where the Appian Way was born, and glides along the legendary Regina Viarum through ancient basalt paving stones, silent countryside, and remarkable landmarks such as Tomb of Cecilia Metella, Villa of the Quintilii, and Santa Maria Nova.
Cycling toward the Castelli Romani, you’ll encounter the historic remains of Albano and Ariccia, including Palazzo Chigi, the historic Locanda Martorelli, and the legendary tale of the Horatii and Curiatii, rediscovering the atmosphere of the Grand Tour that enchanted European travelers for centuries.
In Ariccia, a stop featuring porchetta and local wine celebrates the authentic flavors of the region before continuing to Castel Gandolfo, overlooking the lake and home to the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo. The return journey is comfortably made by train from Albano, after approximately 50 km on a medium-difficulty route.
A journey that blends history, nature, and wonder—step by step, pedal by pedal.
